The Nokia 450 was a device designed for NMT 450 networks. It was offered in several European networks. This was the THF-7C variant which was offered on the EuroTel NMT 450 network in the Czech Republic. The "C" at the end of the model number represented the country where it was offered. There was also a THF-7H variant for the Hungarian market.
When it was launched it was the smallest and the lightest device available for use on NMT network.
It has strong design similarities to the highly successful
Nokia 2110, featuring an easy to read five-row display.
The phone could be used with a hands-free car kit which included a 7-watt booster to maximise performance. It could also send and receive data via a PCMCIA data card (which the Mobile Phone Museum has in its collection) which could be slotted into a laptop computer.
