The Nokia 6500 Slide was a high quality slider phone with a brushed stainless steel casing. It featured a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus and 8x digital zoom. Other specifications include FM radio, microSD card support, TV-out function and microUSB port for charging and data transfer.
At launch it had a retail price of €370. This was considered highly competitive give the high-quality materials used on the phone and was considered to be indicative of Nokia’s dominance with regards to economies of scale and its purchasing power with suppliers at that time.
