Features

The A606 was an entry-level, Android-powered 4G LTE smartphone aimed at budget-conscious consumers, particularly in emerging markets. It was launched at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin, Germany, in September 2014. It had an unremarkable design with a five-inch display with modest resolution (854 x 480 pixels), reflecting its budget positioning.   It was a successful device for Lenovo in China, where it was heavily marketed as a "dual-4G" device supporting both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE standards, making it compatible with major domestic networks like China Mobile and China Unicom. Beyond China, the A606 was popular in Southeast Asia (e.g. Malaysia), South Asia (including India and Pakistan), and parts of Eastern Europe. In China, the most basic variant cost just 799 RMB (approximately $130 USD), making it a highly competitive option.
