The Siemens AX75 was the flagship product within a range of new A7x products under the “simply ingenious” moniker. This encompassed elements such as the design, quality, ease-of-use and consistent feature set.
The phone featured a 65k colour display, support for multimedia messaging (MMS) and an “ergonomic design” that was tested by Siemens to “enhance the user experience” on the device. This resulted in the AX75 featuring enlarged keys on a “structured keypad” together with “clear straightforward menu options”. It was available in Ice Blue and Cream Stone colours – the unit in the museum collection is Ice Blue.
Other features included an infrared interface and support for basic data services using GPRS and rudimentary Internet access via WAP.
