The Benefon Twin is believed to be the first dual-SIM phone. It was announced at the same time as the Benefon Twin+. The phone used Microsoft's Mobile Explorer 2.0 in 1999 allowing it to support both HTML browsing and access to Internet content via the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP).
