The BlackBerry Curve 3G (model number: 9300) was a mid-tier device that introduced 3G capability to the Curve range for the first time.
At launch, the company stated that the phone was “designed to provide the growing mass of smartphone purchasers with a distinctly powerful, approachable and affordable choice.”
As was customary on BlackBerry devices at the time, the Curve 3G had a full-qwerty keyboard, optical trackpad, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi support. It also had a basic camera.
The phone also had dedicated media keys on the top edge of the device, something that was first available on BlackBerry Curve 8500 devices such as the
Curve 8520.
