This phone (model number: SGH-c417) was described as a value-inspired handset with “a touch of class and colour” when it was launched by Samsung America. It was a quad-band GSM phone with Bluetooth technology and a built-in VGA camera. It also had “advanced messaging capabilities” including two-way SMS text messaging, multimedia message service (MMS) support and instant messaging capability. It had a two-inch internal screen and an “always-on” external display giving users instant access to the clock, status and the caller ID feature. It was initially offered in a charcoal grey metallic finish.
