The CF62 was announced at an event in Madrid, Spain. It was announced at the same time as the CX65. Siemens described it as being “perfect for consumers who want their phone to have a vivid display embedded in a stylish housing”. The phone had a “subtle loop antenna” and grey chrome effect finish. It could be used with an attachable QuickPic Camera with flash and pictures could be sent using the multimedia messaging service (MMS). Siemens believed the phone offered “stunning design to the mass market with a mixture of great looks, fresh functionality and good value”.
