    The CMD-MZ5 was described by Sony as a “Music Cellular Phone”. This description also appears on the front of the device. It was notable for being the first Sony phone to support an expandable memory card via a Sony Memory Stick. When it was launched the only other phone to have a memory card slot was the Siemens SL45, which came with a 32MB memory card.
