Features

The G500 was a GSM hand-portable phone which was made by Panasonic’s manufacturing arm, Matsushita, at its factory in Thatcham, UK. It was the first Panasonic phone to feature an option to allow it to vibrate rather than ring. To activate the vibrator, users needed to use a physical switch on the side of the phone. The reason it was offered as a physical switch rather than in the software of the device was because the idea to add a vibrating option was made so late on in the development of the phone it was the only way to implement it.
