The Galaxy mini 2 was described by Samsung as “packing a real performance punch into its slim and colourful casing”. Although the example in the Mobile Phone Museum collection has a grey rear cover, the device used in the launch images had a yellow rear casing.
The phone was an upgrade to the
Galaxy mini which had been launched a year earlier. It had a larger 1300mAh battery and 4GB of storage.
Samsung offered its ChatON and Social Hub services on the device and also provided its Music Hub service which it claimed offered “one-step access to over 13 million tracks at any time”.
