The S730 was the successor to the HTC S710. The most significant difference was the addition of 3G support which had been lacking from the S710. The S730 added a front-facing camera to cater for video calling which was the most popular use case showcased on 3G handsets. It had the same two-megapixel rear-facing camera as the S710. The keypad was compressed, with the send and end keys being located adjacent to the number pad. This was to maximise the screen size on the device.
