The Jade II (model number: MP5B2F1-1A) was a rebranded variant of the NEC P800. It featured the BT brand above the earpiece and was released in the UK in 1996 for use on the Cellnet ETACS network.
It had a 40-character, 4-line LCD display that also included a signal strength and battery charge meter. The address book could store up to 99 telephone numbers and associated names with the last 20 dialled numbers being stored with a time stamp. Calls could be answered by pressing any button, there was an auto-power off feature and the mobile had a built-in clock and calendar function together with call timers.
