The LG G6 was the first phone to feature an 2:1 aspect ratio 18x9 display, offering an alternative to the more standard 16:9 aspect ratio that was the common approach on smartphones at the time. This delivered a narrower design that fitter better in the hand as screen sizes on smartphones increased in size. The screen on the G6 was 5.7-inches.
