When LG introduced the KF600 in Europe it rather boldly described it as “a 'mind-reading' interactive phone”. The device had design elements previously seen in Japanese phones and also on the LG Venus phone which had been launched by Verizon in the US. It was a slider phone with dual screens on the front face – one being the main screen and the other an “InteractPad” that replaced physical navigation keys and offered touch-based navigation that changed depending on the application being used. LG described the interface as being ideal for controlling multimedia features such as the digital audio player, camera and video camera. Eight dynamic graphical interface themes were available on the phone, some of which were inspired by the work artist Keith Haring (see picture below) Lg Kf600 Screen Designs The InteractPad' was equipped with “multi-sensorial feedback that provided users with audio, visual and tactile cues”. When a virtual button was pressed it became larger and the phone vibrated slightly, whilst making a clicking sound. The KF600's features included a three-megapixel camera, MP3 player, video recording, FM radio, Bluetooth and more. Notably, it won an iF Product Design Award in 2008.
