The Motokey 3-Chip (model number: EX117) was a feature phone that uniquely supported three SIM cards. It was a 2G-only phone with no Wi-Fi support.Other key specifications included a two-megapixel camera, an FM radio receiver and a microSD card slot. It also featured a dedicated Facebook button, similar to the HTC ChaCha. This was designed to help support both Motorola's target demographic and Facebook's aggressive global expansion plans. At the time, feature phones running basic, proprietary operating systems lacked fluid touchscreens and modern app stores. Navigating through multiple deep menus just to open a slow, Java-based web browser was incredibly frustrating. The dedicated Facebook hardware button acted as a physical "app shortcut," making it easier to access the social network’s services. It was initially available only in the Brazilian market but later supported in other countries, such as India.
