The Motorola M3588 was launched in 1999 as a basic feature phone.
It had a monochrome 96 x 32 pixel graphical display with fixed icons. Phone numbers were stored on the SIM card memory rather than on the phone itself. A call log recorded the last 10 calls dialled and the last 5 missed and received calls.
A range of monophonic ringtones were supported on the phone.
