The Nokia 2720 Flip used the KaiOS operating system that made it possible to offer the apps including WhatsApp and Facebook. It also had a Google Assistant button allowig voice based search and commands. It also had an emergency button. Nokia described the Nokia 2720 Flip as "not only an ideal companion for when you are looking for a digital detox, but it can be the perfect phone for keeping your loved ones with accessibility needs connected." The US variant of this product, the 2720 V, was offered by the Verizon network and became its best selling flip phone in the second half of 2021.
