When it was announced, the widely leaked E75 offered another full-qwerty device in Nokia’s line-up beyond the
Nokia E63 and
Nokia E71. The slide-out keyboard was designed to appeal to owners of Nokia's Communicator range of devices, which had always had a loyal following in certain markets.
The phone was also well-suited to users who wanted a phone for occasional e-mail usage, as well as those who were using both a qwerty device such as a BlackBerry and a traditional mobile phone because they often found the buttons on the qwerty device too small when using it as a phone.
