The Lumia 730 was unveiled by Microsoft at the IFA trade show in Berlin and was notable for supporting dual-SIM functionality. It was announced at the same time as the
Lumia 735. Other than the dual-SIM functionality the phones had identical specifications.
The phones used Windows Phone 8.1 and a key feature was the five-megapixel front-facing camera which Nokia described as being “perfect for the selfie-loving individuals or those looking to have Skype chats with family and friends.” They were offered with a free three-month Skype Unlimited World subscription in selected markets.
In addition to the five-megapixel front-facing camera, there was a 6.7-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash.
Both handsets also supported Nokia’s Sensorcore technology offering compatibility with fitness apps like Fitbit and Adidas miCoach without the need for additional hardware.
