The Nokia N97 mini was is smaller version of the
Nokia N97. It featured a more compact and ergonomic keypad, 3.2-inch display (compared to the N97's 3.5-inch screen) and smaller memory capacity (8GB compared to the N97's 32GB). The phone cost €450 at launch.
The N97 mini’s software featured new elements such as kinetic scrolling (which was an early stand-out feature on the first Apple iPhone) and the Nokia’s Lifecasting application.
The decision to offer a more compact, lower-priced version of the N97 was largely the result of feedback from network operators that the original was too bulky and too expensive.
