Nord 2 × PAC-MAN Edition

This special edition of the OnePlus Nord 2 was developed in collaboration with BANDAI NAMCO. The OnePlus Nord 2 × PAC-MAN Edition was fully customized to include fun games, challenges, and exclusive PAC-MAN content.  The phone had a dual film rear cover. The top layer featured signature PAC-MAN elements such as the game’s iconic PAC-DOTS and PAC-MAN himself. The innermost film had a glossy phosphorescent design that glowed in the dark to reveal a neon maze inspired by PAC-MAN (see picture below). OnePlus and Nord elements were also integrated into the maze.  The OnePlus Nord 2 x PAC-MAN Edition also had a Lego PAC-MAN phone holder featuring popular characters from the arcade classic. The holder’s design was inspired by the famous Penrose stairs and symbolized PAC-MAN’s iconic gameplay loop.  The phone’s OxygenOS was given a retro makeover starting with the software’s classic icons that were overhauled with a fun pixelated aesthetic inspired by lo-fi video games.  The phone had custom static and dynamic wallpapers, depicting different stages of PAC-MAN’s journey into the OnePlus universe. As a tribute to PAC-MAN’s gameplay, users needed to complete challenges on the device to unlock several hidden wallpapers.  Other PAC-MAN content on the device included a custom camera filter, custom animations, and the game PAC-MAN 256 pre-installed so users could immediately begin chasing high scores, munching on pellets, and outmanoeuvring ghosts.  The device also featured a wealth of unlockable PAC-MAN content such as ringtones, photo stickers, and more, all of which could be unlocked by completing challenges on the OnePlus Nord 2 × PAC-MAN Edition itself.  When launched the OnePlus Nord 2 × PAC-MAN Edition cost £499 ($665) in the UK. The phone was sold as a single 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard memory variant.
