The One Touch 715 was described by Alcatel as having a ”retro design” with “mini-PDA features”. It was capable of storing up to 800 contacts, 1000 notes and 60 tasks. The phone could be synchronised with a PC using the SyncML protocol using a serial cable or the infra-red port on the top of the phone. The infra-red port could also be used to transfer Vcards and Vcalendar updates to Palm OS or Windows CE devices.
The phone also included a calculator, currency exchange converter and a world clock. The phone could also record voice notes of up to 60 seconds and supported up to 20 voice commands. Three games were offered on the phone: Killer Expo, Run Run Run, and Botwar.
Further personalization features including utilities for icons, photos and animations. Ring tones could be downloaded via SMS messages.
The Alcatel One Touch 715 was a dual band GSM 900/1800 capable device with support for GPRS data.
