The Haier P7 had a 65K colour display, VGA camera and offered polyphonic ringtones. It was a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) phone with support for GPRS. The phone was capable of up to three hours of talk time or 120 hours standby time.
Haier described it as “a new and unique cell phone that was destined to create new trends and define new concepts.” It believed that “its elegant, innovative design made the small product discrete, easy to use, and unique.”
The company also stated that “form and function united effortlessly in this striking, versatile product, designed to satisfy both practical business sense and a desire for timeless fashion.”
The P7 is also notable for being included in the gift bag for Golden Globe Awards winners.
