The Toshiba Pocket PC e570, which used Microsoft’s Pocket PC 2002, boasted a dual slot architecture offering both an SD slot as well as a compact flash slot. The CompactFlash slot could be used for a variety of add-on devices, such as a modem or a Global Positioning System device. The two slots also meant you could use a wireless connection and a storage card at the same time.
The e570 had 64MB of RAM and a battery life of up to eight hours. When it launched it cost $569.
