The gold and white BlackBerry Q10 Special Edition was designed specifically for customers in the UAE. It featured a gold-coloured stainless steel frame and came with “an exquisitely designed, gold-accented headset” and a white leather sleeve. It also had a “white microdot patterned” back to provide extra grip.
The phone also featured an exclusive range of unique BlackBerry PIN numbers starting with "777" designed to make it even more appealing to BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) users.
It featured a large 3.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and used the BlackBerry 10 operating system.
The Q10 Special Edition was first available at the official BlackBerry retail store in the Dubai Mall and cost AED 3,799 (just over US$1000).
