The QCP-820 was an 800 MHz digital/analog dual-mode phone.
It was described by Qualcomm as a “high-performance CDMA digital phone that provided consumers greater comfort and ease of use.”
The phone featured a “unique dial shuttle” allowing users “operate the phone with a single touch”.
Qualcomm also claimed the QCP-820 offered “an ergonomically designed earpiece-providing optimal comfort and exceptional sound reception, even during extended conversations”.
The company also claimed the phone had “the industry's largest liquid crystal display (LCD)” at the time offering a four-line by 12-character display area plus a line of icons that indicated signal strength, battery status, roaming status and other functions.
