The TM 100 was an exclusive handset made by Sharp for T-Mobile. At the time Sharp had a close relationship with Vodafone delivering the GXxx range of handsets such as the GX10, GX20 and GX30.
The central feature of the phone was its vibrant 262k colour display which appeared to be identical to the
GX30, making it one of the best displays available at the time.
The camera featured a VGA camera similar to the GX20 and supported a macro lens. As with the
GX20, it could be selected with a slider switch that was located around the camera.
A key selling point for the device from T-Mobile’s perspective was the deep integration with the network’s t-zones service which offered additional content, downloads and value-added services for its customers.
Some shortcomings of the device were the lack of Bluetooth, an MP3 player or an FM radio.
