When the S65 was announced Siemens claimed that it was “a high-class handset that set new standards in design and functionality”. It was targeted at business users and had a built-in 1.3-megapixel video camera. Photographs and videos could be stored on a removable 32 MB MultiMediaCard.
The company claimed the phone had “a massive display” that allowed users to “see the world with different eyes.” The S65 was available in a premium silver finish and the company thought it was “poised to become Siemens' next design classic.”
