The T310 was a tri-band GSM phone which had a colour screen. At the time it was regarded as Sony Ericsson’s answer to Nokia’s gaming-centric
N-Gage. It shipped with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 which was one of the best-selling console video games at the time.
A clip-on camera was also available as an accessory to this device. It also featured 32 polyphonic ringtones.
There was also a version of the T310, known as the T316, that launched in the U.S.
