The Technophone 405 (type: THX-65X) was released in the summer of 1992. Technophone was a British mobile phone manufacturer that was taken over by Nokia in 1991 however, Nokia retained the Technophone brand for a time. At the time of launch, the Technophone 405 was described as "a premium model" with "exceptional audio clarity".
