The Samsung V740 (model number: SCH-V740) is almost identical to the Samsung SPH-A900 and very similar to
Samsung Z510. It was offered by Samsung for its home market, Korea, for use on CDMA 2000 1X EV-DO 800 MHz networks and was unveiled at the Korean Wireless Expo in Seoul. It was just 14.5mm thick and featured a 1.3-megapixel rotating camera, Bluetooth, and an MP3 player with music keys on the front face of the device.
It came at a time when Samsung was widely perceived as a fast follower and the design of these products raised some eyebrows given their similarity to Motorola’s
Razr V3.
