The Vodafone 155 was a feature-phone aimed at senior users. It had an SOS button to "provide peace of mind for loved ones."
It had a large uncluttered display and big buttons. Other features were included for the hard of hearing, such as hearing aid compatibility, high volume ringtones and noise cancellation technology.
When the emergency SOS button on the rear of the phone was held down for a number of seconds, the phone emitted a loud alert sound and sent out a 'help' text message to four designated SOS contacts. The phone also automatically attempted to call the people via hands-free when the SOS button was pressed.
At launch it cost £25 on a "Pay As You Go" price plan which included a desktop charger and loudspeaker.
