The Vodafone 250 was launched as an ultra-low-cost mobile phone. It had an unsubsidised price of around $20. It featured a 1.45-inch colour screen and FM radio and was available in black or grey-blue. It was manufactured by TCL. It was first launched in India and six markets in Africa – The Democratic Republic of Congo,  Kenya, Mozambique, Qatar, South Africa and Tanzania.
