The VX4400 was a device made by LG for the US carrier Verizon.
It had a vibrant 65,000 STN colour display with a blue backlit keypad. The phone also offered “event-personalized caller ID” that comprised 10 different colours. For example, users could choose red for incoming calls, blue for missed calls and green for new SMS text message alerts.
The display could be customised with eight different wallpapers, four theme colours, two different font sizes and five font colours.
The VX4400 also supported Verizon’s Get It Now service which allowed owners to download entertainment, games and business applications over the air.
At launch, it was offered for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
