The X820 was part of Samsung’s Ultra Edition range. When launched, it was the world’s thinnest profile phone at just 6.9 mm. It was announced at the same time as the world’s slimmest slider, the
Samsung D900.
It used “fibreglass-infused plastic” to make it tough while delivering a lightweight design.
At the launch, Samsung stated that the X820 balanced “slim elegance with a functional keypad” and that it was finished with a “beautifully bevelled cut for a natural grip”.
The phone featured a two-megapixel camera as well as a document view and a “TV-output function”.
