The Xperia ray (model number ST18i) was introduced at the CommunicAsia 2011 show in Singapore. Sony Ericsson stated that it was designed to appeal to consumers who were “looking for a combination of beautiful design and a rich feature set.” The phone had an aluminium frame. It was available in black, gold, pink and white. The devices in the Mobile Phone Museum collection are the black and gold variants.
