At launch, the Xperia X4 was described by Sony as its “next generation selfie smartphone”. It was the successor to the
Xperia C3 which was the first Sony phone to feature a powerful front-facing camera.
The Xperia X4 featured a “PROselfie” five-megapixel front-facing camera with a 25mm wide-angle lens. It incorporated a variety of other Sony features such “SteadyShot” technology that compensated for any camera shake. The phone also featured a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.
The Xperia C4 shipped in three colours: white, black and “vibrant mint.”
