When announced, the 207 was described by Nokia as a being designed for people “who like a classic phone and traditional keypad but don't want to miss out on smartphone experiences, like staying connected to social media and accessing the Internet.”
In addition to supporting 3.5G connectivity, the phone included popular social apps including Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter as well as access to video streaming through YouTube. It also included Mail for Exchange support.
The phone was notable for its outstanding battery life, offering up to 33 days of standby time.
It was available in red, cyan, yellow, white and black and cost €52 (US$68) when it initially went on sale.
