The Nokia 603 was unveiled at an event in Istanbul, Turkey. It was a mid-range phone offered in a black and white variant with a range of six swappable rear covers allowing owners to personalise the device (see below).
It was notable for running the latest version of Symbian, the Belle release. This was a major update from the previous Symbian Anna version and offered extensive customisation with up to six home screens and the ability to have widgets of different sizes on the home screen.
The phone was preloaded with Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Shazam, Microsoft Office Communicator, QuickOffice, Adobe PDF Reader and Vlingo.
At launch, it cost approximately €200.
