The Nokia 6260 featured a 270-degree hinge which allowed it to be used in four different moves: closed, open (for talking), display facing outwards to browse the web or access applications or twisted into a camcorder style to activate the camera to take pictures or capture videos. It was the first Symbian-powered flip phone using Series 60.
It had the same features as the
Nokia 6600, and used the Symbian operating system together with Nokia'sSeries 60 v2 user interface. The phone also included a VGA camera and Bluetooth. A presentation and document viewer allowed users to view email attachments on the phone.
The 6260 also had a Push-to-Talk (walkie-talkie) capability which was something operators were requesting at the time.
At launch it had a suggested retail price of 400 Euros.
