Nokia introduced the 7705 Twist in partnership with Verizon Wireless as an exclusive device for the US network.
It had a unique square design that swivelled open to reveal a full qwerty keypad.
The phone came with shortcut buttons that provided quick access to a range of features including messaging, the 3-megapixel camera, the web browser, Verizon’s V CAST Music with Rhapsody service, voice commands, and speakerphone options.
The phone also featured a “Contact Light Ring” which was located in the lower right corner and could be customized to identify a message or a call from people listed in the contact directory.
The phone came with two Xpress-on™ Covers in black and purple.
Unique features of the device were that it has customisable camera shutter sounds including Say “Cheese,” and Ready! 1 2 3, and also, the phone had a hidden built-in mirror which could be found on the rear face of the screen when the phone was flipped open.
With thanks to Richard Edwards for donating this phone.
