The Siemens A60 was an affordable tri-band GSM phone with a 65k colour display and some basic multimedia features. At the launch, Siemens described it as being “designed for users who wanted a stylish and affordable phone with a variety of features.” The phone also included a video recorder, MP3 player and Bluetooth support. It also had an FM radio, Infrared port and basic personal organiser. Dr. Klaus Kleinfeld, the CEO of Siemens Communications described the A60 as “a great example of Siemens' commitment to providing innovative and affordable mobile phones.”
