Features

The super-slim credit card-sized CardPhone was offered by the Russian company Elari. It was just 5.5 millimetres thick, weighed 42 grams and had a standby time of three days. It could be used as a standalone mobile phone or could be a companion device to a smartphone. As a companion device, it could be synced with an iPhone or Android smartphone using Bluetooth. However, the phone also had its own Micro-SIM slot and the ability to store up to 500 contacts. In some cases, it was marketed as the “anti-smartphone” for people wishing to have a “digital detox”, but it could also be used as an emergency phone if a smartphone ran out of battery.
