The E720 (SGH-S500i) was described by Samsung as a "luxuriously designed moblie phone" when it was launched. It had strong similarities to the Samsung E730 and Samsung S500i i-mode compatible phone. It was a 2.5G (GPRS) tri-band GSM device and featured a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo speakers and a 262,000 colour screen. It also had Bluetooth, 80Mb of internal memory and the ability to expand it further with the use of a TransFlash memory card. Samsung called the phone’s integrated antenna an “intenna”. The multimedia focus of the device was reflected in the dedicated media keys on the front of the phone.
