The Samsung Focus (model number: SGH-i917) was a Microsoft Windows Phone 7 device.
When it was unveiled with US network operator AT&T it was marketed as the only Windows Phone able to support SD cards.
It was a rather anonymous product but one notable feature was its vibrant AMOLED display.
It also came with a portfolio of AT&T services and software including AT&T Navigator, AT&T Radio, AT&T myWireless and AT&T Uverse.
Samsung included its “Now” content service offering users updates on news, weather and stocks.
The phone received an update to Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) during its lifetime.
