i8700 Omnia 7

Samsung had been a long-time Windows Mobile licensee and continued that commitment when Windows Phone 7 was announced. At the launch event Samsung unveiled two devices: the Samsung Omnia 7 (I8700) and the Samsung Focus — an exclusive device with AT&T. The Omnia 7 was differentiated from rival Windows Phone 7 powered devices due to its vibrant four-inch super active matrix organic LED (AMOLED) display. In contrast to HTC and LG, who announced Windows Phone 7 devices at the same launch event, Samsung did very little software customisation on the Omnia 7, choosing instead to offer a vanilla Windows Phone 7 experience.
