When it was introduced, Apple described the iPhone SE as “the most powerful phone with a four-inch display”. This performance came from the A9 chip used in the device which was the same as the one used in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
It also featured a 12-megapixel camera with support for Live Photos and 4K video, and there was also Touch ID with Apple Pay.
This first iPhone SE had an aluminium design with chamfered edges and came in four colours: space grey, silver, gold and rose gold.
