Described as a “desirable, fashionably slim mobile masterpiece”, the KF510 was announced by LG at the annual Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona in 2008.
At 10.9mm thick, it was a very slim phone at the time it was launched and was available in two colours, sunset red and stardust dark gray (the variant in the Mobile Phone Museum collection). Notably, it lacked 3G capability, only supporting GSM/EDGE. This was considered a questionable decision at the time as many European operators were actively committed to adding 3G customers at the time.
It was initially launched in March 2008 for Latin American markets and followed by a European launch in April 2008.
