The P651ps was designed for use on NTT DoCoMo’s prepaid mobile service which was known as “Pre-Call”.

When launched it was the smallest and lightest phone available for the Pre-Call service. It supported up to 20 different ringtones and had an address book that could store up to 500 numbers.
